Acropolis Museum Kids.
The Acropolis Museum is known for its exceptional collection of ancient artifacts that offer visitors a glimpse into Greece's rich history and culture. However, despite its treasures, museums can sometimes feel boring, especially for kids.
Recognizing this challenge, the Acropolis Museum took a new approach to engage its audience in a fresh and authentic way.
The Digital Museum was born, an online version of the institution that includes several applications to offer cultural and educational content to people who are looking for inspiration but cannot make physical visits to the museum.
To make this experience more accessible to children, the museum launched the Acropolis Museum Kids, a platform designed specifically for kids between six and twelve years old, no matter where they live in the world. Through this platform, children can explore the museum's exhibits and history while having fun and learning.
However, to make this initiative appealing to its target audience, the museum needed a new visual identity. Together with Faze Design Studio and Eternal Optimists Agency, we took inspiration from its exhibits and viewed them through the eyes of a child. The result was exciting storytelling and a vibrant new world where even the ancient god Poseidon is surfing, and the Caryatids are gracefully dancing hip-hop.
Thanks to this new approach, the Acropolis Museum is breaking down barriers and offering engaging and educational experiences for all ages, no matter where they are in the world.
